Additionally, using one oxygen system decreases the incidence of corneal abrasion compared to when oxygen systems are changed. With the connector in place, it would be more simple to deliver supplemental oxygen because it could accommodate most if not all types of hose, tubing and adapters. This will not only save the practitioners time but also improves patient care and treatment continuity inside the hospitals.
