There may even be special classes for the balance beam and pommel horses. If your child is a girl, they may start in a balance beam that is flat on the ground, then graduate to higher ones. If your kid is a boy, they may be put on a pommel horse and taught how to do leg swings.

Remember, it doesn't matter what a child's skill or fitness level is. There is likely a class that is right for them if you just inquire. Not only will they get out of the house and get some exercise, they will also get a big confidence boost and the chance to make lifelong friends.
