Hen Party Games Ideas

By Eveline Dom

When planning a big party to include female colleagues, whether for a soon-to-be-married girlfriend or simply having a get-together, then one needs to do some bit of planning. One needs to decide on the kind of food they'll serve, who'll be on the guest list and the activities to be held. If the party will mostly consist of grown ladies, then one could put some hen party games into consideration as they're great for breaking the ice and helping guests interact and mingle.

What Are Hen Party Games? The first thing to understand is that these games are intended only for mature women aged 21 or older, as many hen do party games involve drinking alcohol and suggestive or risqu topics. If you are planning a bridal shower or bachelorette party, hen party games may be something to include.

The Newlywed Game: If you're looking for a game for a bachelorette party, this could be just what you are looking for. Back in the 80s, there was a game show with the same name and this is played nearly identically.

The Newlywed Game: If you remember the game show of the same name from the 1980s, this game is played just like it and is ideal for a bridal shower, bachelorette party or similar. The big difference is that every time a question is answered wrongly and the answer is different from that previously given by the groom, a glass of wine or beer must be drunk.

Toilet Paper Couture: This game would work wonderfully for a bachelorette party, but would also work well for classy hen party games. It requires nothing but imaginative guests a several rolls of toilet paper. The party is to be split into two teams who will use the toilet paper to create a 'wedding dress' for whoever they choose to be a model. The real kicker is the five minute time limit of preparing the gowns.

Truth or Dare-This is a game which almost everyone has played at some point in their lives. However, the hen's version is arguably the best one, due to its raunchy and daring nature. It can also be quite funny. The bride could be dared to do something that's very ridiculous or embarrassing. Here, the sky is the limit; it's up to the host and the other hens to decide what will be on the menu. One needs to have a prize ready, along with some paper and pen.

Reattaching the Fireman's Hose: This game is played much like that sweet, innocent game involving a donkey and its lost tail. This one is not quite as innocent as that game, though, as it involves a picture of a sexy fireman and a drawing of a penis in place of the donkey and its tail.

Been there, done that-here, all the hens are required to come up with an awkward story involving a man. Once all the guests have done this, the stories should be gathered and read out loud. The women are then required to guess the author of each story, with prizes issued out for correct answers.

Some More Classy Hen Party Games

If a banned word is uttered, the utterer must do something that your guests agree upon.

Naughty Mr. and Mrs. Questions: The groom to be has to answer some rather naughty questions before the party starts, about sexual habits, bra size, etc. in this fun hen party game. Simply have your guests take turns to read out the questions and answers, and this can be even more fun after a few drinks.

So, if one wants their upcoming bachelorette party to be a success, then they could consider adding some hen do party games to the day's activities. The guests will surely enjoy themselves and recall how exciting the event was in years to come. The protagonist will also recall her wedding celebrations to be quite entertaining as well.
