Martial arts (MA) refer to codified systems and traditions of combat that people practice for a wide range of reasons. The exercises engage the entire body, leading to physical fitness of all muscles in the body.

Modern military training borrows techniques from many traditional MA. For instance, point shooting technique is one of the concepts which have been adopted by the modern training from MA. The technique involves training soldiers to shoot in awkward situations basing on muscle memory. Iaidoka training is based on muscle memory where practitioners master sword movements.
