Reasons To Allow Your Kids To Play With Soft Dolls

By Lessie Kaufman

Play is one of the best things about being a small child. Nothing simply beats the feeling of having fun without any other worries. It also allows one to develop skills, both physical, emotional, and social. The kids who are allowed to play with other toddlers are believed to have grown up to be healthier and happier people as compared to those who have not.

Playtime is believed by most child psychology experts and pediatricians to be very good for all aspects of development. A child who is allowed to play will grow to be a better adult as compared to the one who is not allowed as much. Different toys have different side effects as well, so it is really important that one picks toys with utmost care and thorough deliberation. Among the many stuff that abound the market, Soft Dolls are among those that are considered safe.

Plush toys, as their name suggest, are wildly popular childrens toys that are made entirely out of cloth. They are also filled in with scraps of leftover fabric, foam, and other things that give it the soft touch. They are so easy to construct, a feat that is not really surprising considering this toy is among the earliest in existence. As early as the 300 BC, children have been playing with cloth dolls.

Surprisingly, though, there are more important benefits that your child can derive from playing with these toys as compared to the other play stuff that are far more expensive and complicated. For one, fine motor skills are developed by doll playing. Their ability to control their hands and fingers will be exercised as much if they played with their dolls most of the time.

Another thing that kids can gain from this playtime is the development of their self help skills. Before any of them learns how to do things for themselves, they will have to practice doing these a lot of times on somebody. Dolls make for really great experimental objects without anybody getting hurt. They will learn how to get dressed by doing it many times with their toy first.

Grooming and hygiene can be introduced as early as possible with the use of these things as well. Children learn the importance of brushing the teeth, brushing the hair, and putting on clean clothes as they do the same things to their dolls. Toddlers with active imagination benefits from the use of dolls when it comes to potty training.

Brain development is further enhanced by playing with them as well. An imaginative mind is one that easily absorbs new knowledge. This imagination is inherent in every kid, but is further honed by playing with dolls.

They can also be used as mediums to teach new lessons to the little ones. Since they are fashioned like humans, they are great for an early anatomy lesson. It also helps to build up the vocabulary and to make them understand that these parts are common to everyone.

Honing socialization skills can also be contributed by dolls. You can interact freely with your little ones by asking them questions in the place of their dolls. They will answer you earnestly, and you will have an idea about what your kid is thinking most of the time.
