By Virginia Wright

Having a set of photographs of your pets is something that most pet owners want. They can either have the photographs framed and used in decorating the home. Alternatively, they can just use the photographs as a souvenir that they can hold on to remind them of their pets. Here are some of the things to keep in mind when taking Horse photos.

To get good photographs, it is important to ensure that that the photograph is weak lit. Taking photographs of areas that are brightly lit will result in photographs that are overexposed and have a lot of harsh dark shadows. Furthermore, ensure that you properly set up the camera as improper set up can also result in the over exposure and wash out.

If you have limited knowledge on taking photographs, it is more convenient for you to use the automatic settings to take photographs of your pet. Using the manual settings may be a difficult task especially for those unfamiliar with the various settings of the device. Manually making the camera settings is more suitable for the professional photographers.

The flash element is common in many of the modern cameras. However, the flash leads to photographs with a red eye. The photograph is taken to the digital lab that deals in photography to remove the red eye to remove the red eye. The advantage of the flash is that it will capture the accurate shading and texture of the fur and coats of the pets in a way that may not be captured on an overcast day.

Taking the photograph of the pets may be a difficult task especially if the pet is not well trained. To make it easier for you to take a photograph of the pet, you need to have some supplies on hand that will help you take a photograph of the pet. Some of the things you will need to keep the pet in place includes treats, helping hands, toys and a lot of patience.

At times, you may need the animal to face the camera directly; this can be achieved through using treats or toys to have their eyes focus on the camera. Doing this and taking the photograph will prove to be a difficult task thus a helping hand in carrying either one of these activities will make it easier for you to take the photographs.

To add life to the photograph by showing animal expressions, you can use sound stimulation to achieve this effect. This involves using different and weird sounds to force a reaction on the animal. A few of the expressions by pets is cocking the head to one side, ear propping and brightening of the eyes. By using sounds, you are thus able to convince the pet into using expressions.

It is not an easy task to take photographs of a pet who is uncomfortable with the process as they do not make good photograph subjects. This also applies to stubborn pets. For such pets, the best option would be having someone else hold the pet down as another takes the photograph. The process is also easier as the background can be easily removed.
